🏰"This 1958 Bouchard Pere & Fils Montrachet Grand Cru is a truly exceptional and rare bottle, representing one of the most seductive and voluptuous white wines on the planet, from a legendary Burgundy Grand Cru." Montrachet is among the most highly rated Montrachet wines. Bouchard Pere & Fils owns a magnificent parcel ideally situated at the center of the Montrachet vineyard. This major producer uses a very light hand with new casks (15%-20% new barrels), resulting in beautiful purity of fruit. Expect a profound complexity with tertiary aromas, honeyed notes, nuts, and dried fruits. The style combines the tension of the Ramonet approach and the richness of the Marquis de Laguiche, offering an approachable, fresh aroma of white flowers and ripe apples.

Serving: This is a very old and rare bottle. The condition of the cork and capsule is paramount. Expect a delicate wine with profound tertiary aromas. Decant carefully, if at all, and just before serving, to remove any potential sediment and allow its complex bouquet to unfold without over-oxidation. Serve at a slightly warmer cellar temperature, around 14-16°C (57-61°F), to fully appreciate its nuances. Be prepared for potential sediment.
