🏰 The 2021 Georges Roumier Bourgogne Rouge, from the esteemed Domaine Georges Roumier, is a 【hallmark of finesse and purity of flavor】, even as a regional appellation wine. The 2021 Burgundy vintage was a mixed bag due to unpredictable weather, but Roumier's meticulous approach ensures quality. This 100% Pinot Noir, entirely destemmed and aged in old barrels, offers delicate aromas of fresh red fruits and spices, with a silky texture and perfectly balanced tannins.
🍴 This elegant red Burgundy is ideal for accompanying sophisticated dishes such as grilled meats, matured cheeses, chicken, and turkey. Its finesse also makes it suitable for lighter fare like mushroom-based dishes or charcuterie.
🥂 A versatile choice for a casual yet refined dinner, a gathering with friends, or an introduction to the exquisite wines of Burgundy. It can be enjoyed now for its expressiveness or aged in the cellar to reveal more nuances over time.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Georges Roumier is a wine producer based in the Côte de Nuits village of Chambolle-Musigny that produces some of the most expensive, best-rated and most popular wines in Burgundy. The winery did not purchase the land directly, but used the French sharecropper/lease system, in which individuals farmed the land for the owner in exchange for a certain percentage of agricultural products. Now, Christophe has taken over the work of the winery and has become the owner of the winery. The current winemaker of the village. He pays close attention to terroir, so little new oak is used, and fermentation temperatures are kept low to allow the wine’s delicious flavors and aromas to shine through.
