🏰 The 1993 Jean Louis Trapet Chambertin Grand Cru is a testament to 【Burgundy's enduring power and elegance, offering a mature expression from a highly respected biodynamic producer】. The 1993 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered good, producing wines with freshness and good aging potential, particularly in the Côte de Nuits. This Chambertin Grand Cru, from a domaine known for its traditional and biodynamic practices, typically showcases a complex bouquet of dried red fruits, forest floor, truffle, and savory notes, with hints of spice and floral undertones. On the palate, it's expected to be refined and harmonious, with silky tannins and a long, persistent finish, reflecting the depth and terroir of this esteemed Grand Cru.
🍴 This mature Grand Cru Pinot Noir is an exquisite match for classic French cuisine, such as roasted game birds like pheasant or duck, beef bourguignon, or mushroom-based dishes. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses.
🥂 Ideal for a milestone anniversary, a significant birthday celebration, or a serious wine tasting among connoisseurs. It's a wine that demands attention and contemplation. When opening older vintages, always be mindful of the cork and capsule, as they can be fragile.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Trapet is a wine company comprised of two estates, one in Alsace, the other in Burgundy. The company in its current dual-region configuration formed when Andrée Trapet inherited her parents' vineyards in Alsace in 2002. Her husband Jean-Louis has run Domaine Trapet Père et Fils in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1990, when he took over from his father Jean.
