🏰 The Meo Camuzet Echezeaux Les Rouges du Bas Grand Cru is renowned for its 【finesse, balance, and pronounced acidity that provides freshness and structure】. While 2012 specific notes are scarce, this Grand Cru typically offers aromas and flavors of red berries, herbs, and purple flowers, with a rich palate, medium weight, bright acidity, and fine tannins. The 2020 vintage, for example, was described as having velvety black plum and rose petal fruit, with the substance to age for decades.
🍴 Red Burgundy is celebrated as one of the world's most flexible food wines. Its high acidity and medium body make it an ideal partner for roasted game birds, grilled duck breast, or dishes rich in umami like those featuring mushrooms and black truffles.
🥂 This Grand Cru is perfect for significant celebrations or as a centerpiece for a serious wine tasting. Its aging potential means it can be cellared for decades, making it a thoughtful gift or a prized addition to any collection.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Meo-Camuzet is located in the village of Vosne-Romanee, France. The estate employs organic fertilizers and advanced cultivation techniques to maintain ecological balance in the vineyards. Coupled with the exceptional terroir and the legacy of Henri Jayer, Jean-Nicholas' efforts have elevated the estate to a top-tier winery in just a few decades. In 2003, Jean-Nicholas founded the négociant business Méo-Camuzet Frères et Soeurs. Although the grapes are purchased, the team personally supervises the vineyards to ensure the quality of the grape sources.
