🏰 The 2010 Burgundy vintage is widely regarded as extremely good, even considered by some as the best vintage for a generation (excluding 2005), celebrated for its pure and balanced style. Despite a challenging growing season, reduced yields led to concentrated flavors, resulting in elegant wines with racy acidity and precision.
【Guy Castagnier's Clos de la Roche Grand Cru 2010 is a beautifully poised and classical wine, built around a balanced triangle of fruit, tannins, and acidity, showcasing more red fruit notes like cherries and raspberries than black.】 Expect an elegant, racy acidity and precision, with a rich, forceful fruit character that promises a long and developing life.
🍴 Chinese Cantonese food pairing: This exquisite red 布根地 is a superb match for roasted game birds like pigeon or duck, beef bourguignon, or mushroom-based dishes. For Cantonese cuisine, consider it with roasted squab (紅燒乳鴿) or braised shiitake mushrooms with abalone sauce (鮑汁扣花菇). Aged hard cheeses also pair wonderfully.
🥂 fit for event: A cherished vintage for Burgundy lovers, perfect for a significant anniversary, a sophisticated dinner party, or a serious wine tasting. Its classic character and long-lasting potential make it a wine to savor and appreciate over many years.
