🏰 The 2021 vintage in Burgundy was challenging but yielded wines with freshness and elegance. Pierre Boisson's Pommard is known for its 【classic, structured expression of Pinot Noir from this powerful appellation】. Expect a wine with firm tannins, vibrant acidity, and aromas of red berries, black cherry, and earthy notes, often with a hint of spice. The 2021 vintage will likely emphasize purity and freshness, requiring some time in the cellar to soften and reveal its full complexity.
🍴 Chinese Cantonese food pairing: This robust red Burgundy would be excellent with roasted goose, braised beef short ribs, or a rich mushroom and truffle claypot rice. For Western cuisine, consider beef bourguignon, roasted lamb, or game dishes.
🥂 fit for event suggestion: A superb choice for a sophisticated dinner, a special occasion celebrating fine Burgundy, or for cellaring to enjoy its evolution over the next decade or more.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
