🏰 【From the highly respected Coche-Dury, this 2019 Monthelie is lauded as one of the best village-level expressions, showcasing the winery's meticulous approach to Pinot Noir.】 The 2019 Burgundy vintage was generally excellent, yielding ripe, concentrated wines with good acidity. This Monthelie offers an expressive bouquet of plums, black cherries, espresso, and dark soil tones, with a hint of new oak. The palate is pure, full-bodied, and plush, with a sappy core of fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a long, complex finish, adorned with rose petal and licorice notes.
🍴 Its vibrant acidity and elegant structure make it a superb match for roast chicken, duck with a cherry reduction, pork tenderloin, or earthy mushroom risotto. It also pairs beautifully with a selection of mild, creamy cheeses like Brie or Havarti.
🥂 Ideal for a special dinner or a gathering of Burgundy enthusiasts, this wine promises a memorable experience.
BACKGROUND
Coche-Dury, headquartered in Meursault, Burgundy, is famous for its highly collectible Chardonnay white wine. In fact, Coche-Dury’s Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru wine is consistently ranked among the 100 most expensive wines on Wine-Searcher.
