Château Larose Trintaudon is one of the largest wineries in the Medoc (in terms of size and volume), producing over a million bottles of wine per year, consisting of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and Bordeaux wine blended with a small amount of Petit Verdot. It dates back to 1719, but it was not until 1838 that Henry Delaroze planted the estate's first vineyards on a gravel hillside called the "Tenement de Trintaudon." The vineyard covers 180 hectares and the soil is a mix of sand, clay and limestone. In the Cru Bourgeois ranking, Chateau Cuitao was rated as Superior Cru Bourgeois in the latest 2020 classification.
