DETAILS
Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
The estate has a rich history dating back to the time of Baron d'Escalin, a Renaissance knight and adventurer. The Baron's philosophy of respecting nature and striving for progress continues to influence the winemaking practices at Domaine d'Escalin today.
