Louis Jadot, Chambolle Musigny Les Fuees 1er Cru, 2022
🏰 Louis Jadot's Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees 1er Cru is celebrated as a feminine, elegant, and delicate Pinot Noir with significant aging potential. The 2022 Burgundy vintage was a warm growing season with August rains bringing freshness and a generous crop. This wine is described as feminine, elegant, and delicate with fine tannins and fruity, spicy aromas and flavors. Expect notes of raspberry, red fruit, earthy mushroom, and subtle oak.
🍴 Pairs perfectly with filet mignon, game, and strong cheeses such as Reblochon. Also recommended with quail with grapes, pigeon with cherries, or duck a l'orange. For Asian cuisine, consider delicate dim sum or a light Peking duck.
🥂 An excellent choice for a romantic dinner, a sophisticated gathering with friends, or a special occasion celebrating elegance and finesse.
BACKGROUND
Louis Jadot is a prominent Burgundy wine producer and négociant. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the primary grape varieties featured. The house was established in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Jadot. The company has seen several leadership changes: Gagey's son Pierre-Henry took over as president in 1991, Gagey died in 1999, and Lardière retired in 2012. Frédéric Barnier, who joined in 2010, is now the head winemaker, and Thibault Gagey has joined his father Pierre-Henry in leading the firm.
