BACKGROUND
Domaine Henri Clerc, established in the 16th century, is located in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy, France. The estate primarily cultivates Chardonnay grapes. In 2002, the current owner, Bernard Clerc, resigned. Although part of the 11-hectare vineyard was allocated to family members, a significant portion was purchased by Vincent Girardin of Pommard. Consequently, these wines are now produced and aged in Girardin's winery near Meursault.
