🏰 【Considered one of the truly great white wines of the 2011 vintage, Hubert Lamy's Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is utterly vivid and constantly changing, captivating with a melange of exotic white flowers, crushed rocks, and pears.】 Olivier Lamy, who now leads the domaine, has elevated its quality to exceptionally high standards, emphasizing organic practices, high-density plantings, and minimizing oak influence to allow the wine's freshness to shine. This Grand Cru 布根地 Chardonnay captivates with exotic white flowers, crushed rocks, and pears. The bright, crystalline flavors blossom beautifully in the glass in a sweet, perfumed, ethereal style. It offers aromas of pineapple and white peach lifted by a floral topnote, complemented by subtle oak. The palate is smooth, vibrant, and fine-grained, with racy acidity energizing the pineapple and dusty mineral flavors. Some notes also mention almonds, lemon curd, slight citrus, peaches, chalk, and anise on the nose, with a racy and energetic palate, showing tension and a long finish.
🍴 This Chardonnay Grand Cru pairs well with chicken and turkey. More broadly, it is an excellent match for roast chicken, creamy pasta, lobster with butter, scallops, and roasted vegetables.
🥂 An utterly moving and delicious wine, perfect for a very special occasion, a celebratory dinner, or for collectors of exceptional white 布根地. The 2011 vintage was noted to be as good as, or perhaps more refined than, the 2010, suggesting it is drinking beautifully now.
