🏰The 2017 Coche-Dury Meursault is an 【outstanding village wine, often showing the depth and inner core of a top Premier Cru】, a testament to the meticulous winemaking of this revered Burgundy domaine. The 2017 vintage in Burgundy was a ballet of climatic contrasts, resulting in grapes that achieved optimal ripeness while maintaining hallmark acidity. This brilliant young wine unwinds with notes of crisp Anjou pear, green apple, dried white flowers, toasted sesame, and hazelnuts. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, supple, and elegantly satiny, with racy acids, discrete structuring dry extract, and a long, elegantly chalky finish. It's a wine that combines the expressiveness of the vintage with the tensile, age-worthy Coche style, promising surprising longevity.
🍴 This exquisite Meursault pairs beautifully with rich seafood dishes like pan-seared scallops, lobster bisque, or roasted turbot. It also complements poultry in cream sauces, fine cheeses, or even a delicate truffle omelette. For an Eastern touch, consider pairing it with steamed crab, delicate dim sum, or a rich Japanese miso cod.
🥂 An excellent choice for a celebratory meal, a special occasion, or a serious white Burgundy tasting. Its complexity and aging potential make it a prized addition to any cellar.
