🏰 The 2015 vintage in Burgundy was extraordinary, with a mild winter and spring leading to early and successful flowering, setting the stage for a healthy crop. Gerard Mugneret's Vosne Romanée 2015 is described as a superb village cru, offering a well-defined bouquet of red cherries, raspberry preserve, and a hint of chalk. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with fine yet firm tannins, showcasing a more masculine style of Vosne-Romanée Village with commendable depth and a long, saline aftertaste. Other notes highlight ripe raspberry, subtle spices, and floral aromas, with a creamy and sweeter profile than the 2016, yet maintaining pliant red berry, floral, and mineral flavors with lovely energy. 【A superb village cru from Pascale Mugneret】.
🍴 This Vosne Romanée pairs wonderfully with classic Burgundy food pairings such as duck, goose, and game birds. Consider roasted duck with herbs, pan-seared guinea fowl, or a delicate mushroom tart. Its elegance also makes it suitable for dishes with truffles or a fine cheese platter.
🥂 An excellent choice for a special family dinner, a gathering with close friends, or as a gift for a Burgundy lover. Its balance and depth make it enjoyable now, but it also has the structure to age gracefully.
