🏰 The 2001 Domaine Leroy Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is widely regarded as a magical wine, soaring from the glass with scents of peonies, wild berries, orange rind, wilted rose petals, and warm spices. It is full-bodied, satiny, and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit, melting tannins, and a bright spine of acidity that distinguishes it from the softer 2000 vintage. This long and penetrating wine is just entering early maturity, showcasing finely wrought complexity and a triumph of skill over nature in a challenging vintage. The nose blossoms with raspberry leaf, wild strawberry, cranberry, crushed stone, and breathtaking definition. 【 Magical and Complex Grand Cru Burgundy 】
🍴 This exceptional red Burgundy pairs exquisitely with classic French dishes such as roasted duck with cherry sauce, coq au vin, or a delicate beef bourguignon. Its earthy and floral notes also complement mushroom-based dishes, truffle pasta, or aged Comté cheese.
🥂 The 2001 Domaine Leroy Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is perfect for a truly special occasion, a milestone anniversary, or a serious tasting among Burgundy aficionados. It's a wine that offers a profound sensory experience and is a testament to the pinnacle of fine Burgundy winemaking.
