FEATURES
🏰 The 2013 Bollinger La Côte aux Enfants is a rare and exceptional still red wine (Coteaux Champenois), crafted from 100% Pinot Noir Grand Cru grapes from a single, historic parcel in Aÿ. The 2013 Champagne vintage, marked by a rainy spring and a hot summer with record sunshine, produced wines of remarkable freshness and elegance. This wine is a 【unique expression of Pinot Noir, showcasing the exceptional terroir with a rich texture, intense fruit flavors, and a long, lingering finish】. Fermented entirely in aged oak barrels and cellar-aged for an extended period, it offers notes of licorice, morello cherries, and elderflower jam, evolving towards hints of cocoa. Aromas of mint, ripe fruit, acacia honey, and citrus fruit are also present. On the palate, it is lively and complex with wonderful acidity, featuring flavors of lemon, ripe fruit, and curry, alongside candied red fruit and buttery notes. It's a powerful wine with evident tannins that benefit from a few hours of breathing.
🍴 This exquisite still Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, aged hard cheeses, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, and dishes featuring truffle. Consider braised lamb shanks in lemon with tomato confit, scallops in citrus and curry sauce, or capon with foie gras stuffing and fig sauce. Heartier options like osso buco or boeuf Bourguignon are also excellent choices.
🥂 This exceptional and rare wine is perfect for a connoisseur's dinner, a special celebration, or as a unique gift for a wine lover. Its elegance and complexity make it suitable for pairing with gourmet cuisine. Serve between 8 and 10°C. To best appreciate its fresh and young style, serving it at around 16°C (Beaujolais temperature) is recommended.
