🏰Meo Camuzet Corton Les Perrieres Grand Cru 2009 is a 【powerful and opulent red Burgundy from the ripe 2009 vintage】, showcasing the robust character of the Corton Grand Cru. Corton Grand Crus are known for their significant structure, dark fruit, and earthy minerality, often requiring time to fully develop. The 2009 vintage for red Burgundy was celebrated for its ripeness, richness, and supple tannins, making wines approachable earlier while retaining excellent aging potential. Expect a wine with concentrated dark berry fruit, hints of spice, forest floor, and a firm yet integrated tannic backbone.
🍴 This rich Grand Cru Pinot Noir is an ideal partner for hearty and flavorful dishes. Consider roasted game meats, beef tenderloin, lamb tagine, or a classic mushroom and truffle pasta. It also pairs beautifully with mature, firm cheeses.
🥂 A superb choice for a celebratory dinner, a special occasion with fellow Burgundy enthusiasts, or a vertical tasting to explore the nuances of Corton. This wine is drinking beautifully now but will continue to evolve for many years.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Meo-Camuzet is located in the village of Vosne-Romanee, France. The estate employs organic fertilizers and advanced cultivation techniques to maintain ecological balance in the vineyards. Coupled with the exceptional terroir and the legacy of Henri Jayer, Jean-Nicholas' efforts have elevated the estate to a top-tier winery in just a few decades. In 2003, Jean-Nicholas founded the négociant business Méo-Camuzet Frères et Soeurs. Although the grapes are purchased, the team personally supervises the vineyards to ensure the quality of the grape sources.
