FEATURES
🏰 The 1999 Mugneret-Gibourg Echézeaux Grand Cru is a 【classic expression of one of Burgundy's most distinguished appellations, from a vintage that produced copious quantities of excellent to outstanding wine】. This Pinot Noir offers a rare combination of charm and power, with most better wines being balanced and alluring from the start, yet evolving very slowly. Expect aromas of black cherry, sweet spice, and leather, with a juicy, savory, dark-hued cherry fruit on the palate. It has a long, textured grip and plenty of life ahead, showcasing the elegance of Vosne-Romanée. 🍴 This exquisite Grand Cru Burgundy pairs beautifully with sophisticated dishes. Consider roasted game birds like pheasant or duck, pan-seared foie gras, or delicate beef preparations such as beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce. Earthy flavors like truffles or wild mushrooms will also complement its evolving complexity. For cheeses, a mild, aged Comté or Époisses would be a superb match. 🥂 Ideal for a milestone celebration, a serious wine tasting, or an intimate dinner where the wine is the star. This is a wine for contemplation and appreciation of fine Burgundy. Serving suggestion for older wines: For a wine of this age, expect some sediment. Stand the bottle upright for at least 24-48 hours before serving to allow sediment to settle. Decanting is recommended to separate the wine from the sediment and allow it to breathe, but be gentle and monitor the wine closely as very old wines can be fragile. Check the cork and capsule carefully upon opening. Serve at cellar temperature, around 16-18°C (60-64°F).
