🏰 Domaine Leroy's Richebourg Grand Cru 2001 is a legendary wine, transcending early vintage estimates to be drinking brilliantly now, showcasing Lalou Bize-Leroy's visionary biodynamic approach. 【This mythical Grand Cru Pinot Noir offers a captivating bouquet of wilted rose petals, peonies, exotic spices, sweet red berries, plums, and vine smoke, with a full-bodied, satiny, and sensual palate, vibrant fruit, melting tannins, and a long, pungently perfumed finish, now entering a glorious plateau of maturity.】
🍴 This powerful and sophisticated red 布根地 (Burgundy) demands equally grand food pairings. Think roasted game, such as venison or wild boar, truffle-infused dishes, or a classic beef Wellington. It also pairs exquisitely with aged, complex cheeses. For a truly opulent Cantonese pairing, consider braised abalone with mushroom, roasted suckling pig, or a rich double-boiled bird's nest soup with pigeon.
🥂 An extraordinary wine for the most significant celebrations, a milestone anniversary, or a profound tasting experience for serious collectors. This 2001 Richebourg is at the beginning of a glorious plateau of maturity and will continue to evolve for decades (20-30 years aging potential). Given its age, expect some natural sediment; decant carefully for at least an hour to allow its complex aromas to fully unfurl and to separate from any deposits. Ensure the cork is in pristine condition and open with utmost care.
