Georges Mugneret Gibourg, Nuits St Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru, 2019
🏰 【An immensely charming Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru from an exceptional Burgundy vintage, bursting with concentrated fruit and refined structure】. The 2019 Georges Mugneret Gibourg Nuits St Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru emerged from a vintage marked by small yields but exceptional quality, leading to concentrated flavors and refined structure. It bursts with aromas of cassis, plums, black truffle, violets, loamy soil, rose petals, espresso roast, and rich spices. This medium to full-bodied wine is lively and concentrated, deep and layered, with an ample core of fruit and ripe, powdery tannins. Expect huge weight of fruit, with red raspberry notes backing darker fruit, and a very polished, rich dark fruit profile that is not overripe.
🍴 Pairs excellently with beef, veal, poultry, and game (deer, venison).
🥂 This wine has a core of tannin and structure that will allow it to age for years to come, with recommendations to cellar for 5+ years, though it is also delicious now.
