Chateau Grand Corbin Despagne is a Grand Cru Classe estate in the north of the Saint Emilion appellation in Bordeaux. The estate was founded by the Despagne family in 1812 and today remains family-owned. The Chateau Grand Corbin Despagne grand vin is a Merlot-predominant blend, with smaller quantities of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are harvested by hand from vines aged over 20 years old and later aged in 40 to 60 percent new oak barrels for between 12-18 months. Production of the grand vin totals approximately 70,000 to 100,000 bottles per year.
