🏰This Henri de Villamont Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru 1980 offers a rare glimpse into aged 布根地 (Burgundy) from a classic era, showcasing the profound evolution of Pinot Noir from this prestigious Grand Cru vineyard. While specific vintage reports for 1980 布根地 (Burgundy) are scarce, wines from this period, especially from Grand Cru sites, can develop incredible complexity and tertiary notes.
🍴 This aged 布根地 (Burgundy) Pinot Noir would be exquisite with roasted game birds, a rich mushroom risotto, classic coq au vin, or a well-aged Comté cheese.
🥂 Perfect for serious collectors of aged 布根地 (Burgundy), a contemplative tasting, or a very special anniversary celebration.
Kindly reminder: This 1980 vintage is a true relic, offering a profound journey into 布根地 (Burgundy)'s past. Expect delicate, evolved aromas of 【forest floor, dried fruits, and earthy notes】. The wine's condition can vary greatly with age, so handle with care. Be mindful of the cork and capsule, as they may be fragile.
BACKGROUND
The history of Domaine Henri De Villamont can be traced back to the late 19th century in Savigny-Bonne in the center of Burgundy. It was founded by winemaker Léonce Bocquet. After Léonce Boquet's death, the winery changed owners many times until 1964 when the Swiss family group Schenk (one of Europe's leaders in the wine trade, with operations in most of the world's vineyards) bought it. The winery now offers a full range of high-quality Burgundy wines, some of which come from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown on the winery's 10 hectares of land, and also use high-quality grapes from other places.
