Georges Mugneret Gibourg, Ruchottes Chambertin Grand Cru, 2019
🏰 The 2019 Georges Mugneret Gibourg Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru hails from a "truly excellent, some might say legendary" 布根地 vintage, celebrated for its 【complex, richly fruit-forward, and refined character】 with decades of aging potential. This Grand Cru offers an exquisite cherry red color, with a delicate nose revealing 【fruits of the forest, undergrowth fragrances, and spicy hints】. The palate is medium-bodied with filigreed tannins, an electric line of acidity, and superb minerality, leading to a persistent, almost candied finish.
🍴 This elegant Grand Cru Pinot Noir is a perfect match for sophisticated dishes such as duck confit, beef in pastry crust, or sautéed mushrooms. It also beautifully complements other game birds and local Burgundy cheeses.
🥂 An ideal choice for a significant celebration, a serious wine tasting, or a special dinner where its complexity and profound aging potential can be fully appreciated. This is a wine to impress and savor.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg is a French producer of high-quality Pinot Noir located in the Côte de Nuits, famous for its wines from Burgundy's most popular vineyards. The winery was founded in 1933, and in the 1950s small plots of land were purchased to expand the family's vineyards. Incorporated in 2009 as Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg. The most rare and expensive wines of the winery come from the Grand Cru vineyards Ruchottes Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot and Echézeaux, and it also produces Burgundy red wine from multiple Premier Cru vineyards.
