🏰 From the legendary Meo Camuzet, this 2013 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is a 【classic and intriguing expression】 from a challenging yet rewarding vintage. The 2013 red Burgundies, though made under difficult conditions with low yields, are described as delicious, classic, and vibrant, with fine terroir definition and intensity. Expect a bouquet of intense red fruit aromas, often accompanied by subtle spicy notes, showcasing beautiful depth and complexity. On the palate, it offers a refined, almost lace-like texture with a seductive enveloping character, supported by supple yet firm tannins and fresh acidity.
🍴 This Grand Cru Pinot Noir pairs perfectly with rich dishes such as duck, goose, and game birds. It also brilliantly complements fine red meats and aged cheeses.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a significant celebration, a collector's tasting, or a luxurious dinner where a wine of profound character and aging potential is desired.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Meo-Camuzet is located in the village of Vosne-Romanee, France. The estate employs organic fertilizers and advanced cultivation techniques to maintain ecological balance in the vineyards. Coupled with the exceptional terroir and the legacy of Henri Jayer, Jean-Nicholas' efforts have elevated the estate to a top-tier winery in just a few decades. In 2003, Jean-Nicholas founded the négociant business Méo-Camuzet Frères et Soeurs. Although the grapes are purchased, the team personally supervises the vineyards to ensure the quality of the grape sources.
