🏰The 2018 Vin Blanc de Palmer is an 【exceptional wine】 born from a challenging vintage, where mildew-induced low yields (just 11hl/ha) paradoxically led to a wine of remarkable intensity and character. This white Bordeaux from Château Palmer presents a very pale yellow-green color with silver reflections. The nose offers subtle yellow tropical fruit, fresh nuances of pineapple, papaya, floral notes, and lime zest. On the palate, it's juicy, elegant, and fruity, with hints of coconut and peach, a pleasant fruit core, and a lingering salty finish with a touch of caramel. Some tasters also note elderflower, soap, gooseberries, resin, green grass, orange, and a lemonade-like quality.
🍴 This complex and aromatic white wine is a fantastic match for roasted chicken or turkey, grilled fish, rich seafood dishes like lobster or crab, and even delicate Asian cuisine. Its elegance also makes it suitable for creamy pasta dishes or a selection of mild, soft cheeses.
🥂 Perfect for a sophisticated summer gathering, a special seafood dinner, or as a luxurious aperitif. Its unique profile and rarity make it a conversation starter and a memorable addition to any fine dining experience.
BACKGROUND
Chateau Palmer’s rare white wine. The Vineyard of white grapes is only 1.4 hectares and only produce 1,400 bottles every year, which is very rare. Instead of using the common Bordeaux blanc blends (Sauivignon Blanc and Semillion), several white grape varieties that were popular in the early 20th century (Muscadelle, Lauzet and Sauvignon Gris) were used.
