🏰 The 2020 Audeant Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay from Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills is showing beautifully, despite the vintage challenges which included a brief period of smoke exposure for the grapes. This white wine offers slowly unfolding aromas of flint, roasted almonds, baked apples, and apricot with spicy undertones. The medium-bodied palate delivers expansive, savory flavors with a satiny texture, energized by firm acidity, and culminates in a long, honeyed finish with a touch of textural grip. It is also described as lively, lemony, and racy, reminiscent of an Hautes-Côtes Blanc, with a lovely texture and great freshness. Other tasting notes highlight a pale-straw, golden color with a hint of lime, fresh and vibrant natural acidity, white-stone-fruit, flinty, and mineral characteristics, leading to a long, lingering, saliva-inducing, dry-as-a-bone finish. 【Highly acclaimed by Robert Parker (93 points) and Jancis Robinson (16.50 points) despite vintage challenges.】
🍴 This refreshing Chardonnay is a perfect match for any fish or poultry recipe. It can also tame cheese sauces, garlic-mushrooms, or even spicy foods.
🥂 Suitable for immediate enjoyment, though it will be best over the next 3-5 years, this wine is ideal for a sophisticated dinner party or a special occasion that calls for a high-quality, expressive Chardonnay.
