Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Château le Gay is a leading Bordeaux wine estate in Pomerol, producing Merlot-based wines.There are 10.5 hectares (26 acres) of vines in one holding planted on clay and gravel soils in the north of the Pomerol plateau. Some 90 percent of plantings are Merlot, with the remainder Cabernet Franc. Château le Gay counts Lafleur and la Croix-de-Gay among its neighbors.
