FEATURES
🏰 The 2002 vintage was characterized by capricious climatic conditions, yet Château Margaux responded with remarkable grace, producing a Pavillon Rouge that embodies finesse and balance. While considered a lesser vintage in Bordeaux, it still offers elegance and potential richness. 【Second wine of a First Growth estate, showcasing elegance from a challenging vintage】。This wine presents an open and expressive nose with upfront notes of forest floor, dried herbs, and a touch of pencil shavings. It is medium-bodied, quite fleshy and supple, with an understated blackberry and graphite-tinged finish. Expect notes of cedar, herbs, red and black currants, and licorice. Fully mature aromas include soy, blackcurrant, tomato stalk, cedar, and coffee. Jancis Robinson noted a deep crimson color, very fragrant and flattering, with elevated acidity, ripe flavors, and a clean, dry finish.
🍴 This Pavillon Rouge is best paired with all types of classic meat dishes, such as veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, and various roasted, braised, and grilled preparations. It also complements Asian dishes, rich fish courses like tuna, mushrooms, and pasta.
