🏰 The 2018 Joseph Drouhin Bonnes Mares Grand Cru is a wine of 【great breed and peerless elegance, showcasing the vibrant character of this esteemed Burgundy Grand Cru】. 🍴 This grand wine deserves the best accompaniment: prime meat, morels, truffles, and wild hare. It's a classic pairing for duck, goose, and game birds, such as duck breast fillet stuffed with foie gras, or roasted Bresse chicken. Aged cheeses also make an excellent match.
🥂 A truly special bottle for a significant celebration, a gourmet dinner, or a serious Burgundy tasting. Its rarity and generosity make it perfect for the greatest occasions, promising an unforgettable experience.
Serving: Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C (60-64°F) to allow its complex aromas and flavors to fully express themselves.
BACKGROUND
Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy's most important wine producers, France. The primary grape variety is Pinot Noir, with a small portion being Chardonnay. Founded in Beaune in 1880, the domaine has expanded throughout the 20th Century to include vineyards in Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, making everything from simple, village-level cuvées to highly priced grand cru and premier cru wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
