【As the second wine of the prestigious Chateau Mouton Rothschild, the 1994 Le Petit Mouton is so good, it's difficult to believe it's not a First Growth.】 This Pauillac is a Bordeaux Blend, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, from a densely planted vineyard with an average vine age of around 44 years. It offers aromas of strawberry, raspberry, rose petal, and woody notes. Expect a medium-bodied profile, bright and leaning towards the austere side, with a touch of roughness to the tannins and herbal notes, alongside a core of earthy, spicy, dark cherry, and cassis fruit. It also reveals layers of blackberry, currants, and cassis paired with wet earth, flowers, and tobacco leaf, with a cool hint of spice.
