🏰 【Renowned for its depth, precision, and remarkable aging potential, this 2013 Claude Dugat Griotte Chambertin Grand Cru is a treasure for connoisseurs.】 The 2013 vintage in Burgundy was challenging but ultimately rewarding, yielding wines with good acidity and freshness that often require patience. This Grand Cru Pinot Noir boasts an intense and brilliant ruby color. The nose reveals profound aromas of black cherry, violet, musk, undergrowth, and subtle mineral notes. On the palate, the wine is noble and full-bodied, structured by remarkably fine tannins. The balance is perfect, supported by a delicate freshness, leading to a long and vibrant finish.
🍴 This exceptional red Burgundy pairs exquisitely with a beef fillet in a crust, a luxurious truffle risotto, or a perfectly roasted pigeon with cherries. It also complements roasted duck, goose, and various game birds beautifully.
🥂 A prestigious Grand Cru, this wine is ideal for significant celebrations, a sophisticated fine dining experience, or a serious Burgundy tasting where its complexity and elegance can be fully appreciated.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Claude Dugat is a Burgundian producer in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation. This prestigious small winery produces only a small amount of Pinot Noir wine, with its most popular wines coming from designated Grand Crus. The domaine was founded by Claude's father in 1955, when he purchased a 13th-century building and converted it into a winery and cellar. Dugat bottles three Grand Cru red wines from Griotte-Chambertin, Chapelle-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin, as well as two Premier Cru wines.
