FEATURES
🏰Rated 98JD and 98JS, this Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is a brilliant, elegant, and complex wine that will evolve for two decades or more, showcasing the hallmark aromas and flavors of its iron-rich, red dirt soils. Peter Michael Winery, established in 1982, sources this Bordeaux-inspired blend from its Au Paradis vineyard in the Oakville foothills, known for its red, rocky, volcanic soils. The 2018 blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, and 11% Cabernet Franc, with only 2,171 cases produced, appears near-black to ruby in color. It offers perfumed aromas of red rose, black currant, cassis, green tobacco, lead pencil, sandalwood, and dried flowers. The palate delivers dark fruit reminiscent of plum and creme de cassis, alongside bright and savory notes of raspberry, rose petal, and graphite, with flawless balance, full body, and silky yet present tannins.
🍴 This wine works well with most food, especially roast rack of lamb, ribeye steak, and venison or game dishes.
🥂 Perfect for a luxurious dinner, a significant celebration, or as a collector's item to cellar for future enjoyment.
