🏰The 2016 Roche de Bellene Chambertin Grand Cru is a 【super-intense and refined Grand Cru Burgundy】, crafted by Nicolas Potel, known for sourcing top-quality fruit for his 'haute couture' négociant operation. This red wine, aged in 100% new oak, exhibits very dark crimson color and offers intense black fruit on the nose. On the palate, it is dark and chalky, with very fine yet multi-layered tannins, wonderful freshness, and incredible juiciness on the finish. It's a powerful wine with rich black fruits, fine perfumes from wood aging, and juicy acidity, already balanced but with potential to age for several years.
🍴 This majestic red Burgundy demands equally grand food pairings. Consider roasted venison, pan-seared duck breast with a rich sauce, or a truffle-infused beef Wellington. For an elevated Asian pairing, try it with Peking duck, braised abalone with mushrooms, or a sophisticated Cantonese roast goose.
🥂 An exceptional choice for a truly special celebration, a significant anniversary, or for serious collectors looking to experience a powerful and graceful Grand Cru. It's a wine that will reward patient cellaring and promises to be stunning when it hits its peak.
