Meo Camuzet, Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru, 2018
🏰The 2018 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots is a stellar example of this esteemed producer's craft, offering a complex bouquet of ripe cherries, raspberries, rose petals, and spices, complemented by subtle hints of rich soil and carnal nuances. Critics note its medium to full-bodied, supple, and elegant palate with good concentration, fine tannins, and a long, mineral finish, suggesting it will age beautifully for decades. This vintage is particularly well-integrated even at an early stage.
🍴 This powerful red 布根地 (Burgundy) is an excellent match for game dishes like venison or wild boar, roasted lamb, or a rich mushroom risotto. For an Eastern pairing, consider a deeply flavored Peking duck or braised shiitake mushrooms with oyster sauce.
🥂 Perfect for a serious wine collector's tasting, a celebratory dinner, or a special gift for a Burgundy aficionado, this wine promises a rewarding experience.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Meo-Camuzet is located in the village of Vosne-Romanee, France. The estate employs organic fertilizers and advanced cultivation techniques to maintain ecological balance in the vineyards. Coupled with the exceptional terroir and the legacy of Henri Jayer, Jean-Nicholas' efforts have elevated the estate to a top-tier winery in just a few decades. In 2003, Jean-Nicholas founded the négociant business Méo-Camuzet Frères et Soeurs. Although the grapes are purchased, the team personally supervises the vineyards to ensure the quality of the grape sources.
