Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Clos des Papes is a highly regarded wine producer located in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the Southern Rhône Valley. Founded by Paul Avril in the early 20th century, the estate consists of 24 parcels of land throughout the appellation, totaling 32 hectares (79 acres). All 13 grape varieties allowed in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation are grown in these vineyards, with Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah being the most important for their yield.
