Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Chateau Lagrange was classified as a third growth in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc and Graves and is located in Saint-Julien, on the left bank of the river Gironde. The plantings at the château are predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, as well as Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Semillon. The red wines tend to be Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant and the whites are mainly Sauvignon Blanc with equal parts Sauvignon Gris and Semillon. The grand vin is a Cabernet Sauvignon blend, aged for nearly two years in 60 percent new oak. The second wine is called Les Fiefs de Lagrange and was established in 1985. It comes from vines that are on average 30 years old, matured in French oak barrels for a year and then bottled.
