🏆1855 Bordeaux Grand Cru 3rd Growth
BACKGROUND
Château Marquis d'Alesme Becker is a Third Growth (Troisième Cru) estate in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, classified in 1855. Founded in 1585, it has a long history but has seen a significant renaissance since being acquired by the Perrodo family in 2006. Under the direction of Marjolaine de Coninck, the estate has modernized its winemaking facilities and refined its vineyard practices. The Grand Vin is typically a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. It is known for its classic Margaux elegance, offering aromatic complexity with notes of blackcurrant, violet, and fine, silky tannins.
