DETAILS
Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
Vignobles Alain Jaume is a family-owned wine producer established in 1826 and based in the north of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region at its core property, Domaine de Grand Veneur.Wines are produced from a wide range of Southern Rhône appellations, with most reds based around Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. The latter two grapes are aged in French oak barrels, whilst the Grenache is matured in concrete tanks. The white Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a blend of Clairette and Roussanne, while Viognier is added for one Côtes-du-Rhône, and used on its own for the other.
