🏰 The 2014 Terroir Al Limit Les Tosses comes from a Spanish vintage that was generally good but not exceptional, marked by a mild, wet winter, warm spring, but an unusually cool summer. For Les Tosses, 2014 was considered a "cooler year." This red Priorat is crafted from 100% Cariñena (Carignan) grapes sourced from 90-year-old vines grown on steep black slate soils at an altitude of 650 meters. Critics have suggested it might very well be the "best vintage of Les Tosses so far." It displays a bright cherry color with a garnet rim. The nose is expressive, melding floral notes, brilliant red fruits, fragrant herbs, dried flowers, and hints of stones, with ethereal aromas of baking spices and cinnamon. The palate is firm and expansive, showcasing the energy of a young red without the harsh tannins often associated with Cariñena. It is extremely floral and perfumed, with elegant tannins, offering length, freshness, and a very long finish. Notes of pomegranate, red currant, caramel, and toffee have also been observed. 【A pure Cariñena from 90-year-old vines on steep black slate slopes, considered potentially the "best vintage of Les Tosses so far," showcasing exceptional elegance and floral perfume.】
🍴 This powerful yet elegant red wine is an excellent companion for roasted lamb, grilled red meats, rich stews, and game dishes. It also pairs wonderfully with strong, aged cheeses.
🥂 Ideal for a sophisticated dinner, a tasting of high-end Spanish wines, or a celebration for those who appreciate powerful yet elegant reds. This wine is expected to drink well from 2019–2030. If you choose to open it soon, it is highly recommended to give it ample time to breathe; some suggest double decanting from a magnum about an hour before serving.
