🏰 The 1982 Château d'Yquem is a legendary sweet wine, famously called "a great Yquem" by Robert Parker on release, and it has only improved with age, drinking beautifully now. Despite initial challenges, the vintage benefited from optimal botrytis development and meticulous harvesting, resulting in an exceptional wine brimming with character. 【This dazzling Yquem offers an irresistible focus and energy, with a complex ballet of candied apricot, honey, and marzipan, alongside rich aromas of toasted quince, saffron, honeysuckle, and orange zest, all balanced by a lively acidity and an opulent, lingering finish】.
🍴 A sublime pairing for grilled lobster, blue cheeses, or a sophisticated cheese platter. It also shines beautifully as a dessert wine.
🥂 Reserved for truly exceptional occasions, milestone celebrations, or as a profound gastronomic experience for collectors. As a legendary sweet wine from 1982, now over four decades old, handle with utmost care, as older corks can be fragile. Serve chilled, around 10-12°C (50-54°F), and decant gently for a short period to allow its intricate bouquet to unfold, while being mindful of any sediment. It has an anticipated maturity up to 2040.
