🏰 The 2020 vintage in Burgundy was generally very favorable for white wines, producing Chardonnays with a beautiful balance of ripeness and freshness. Jean Claude Bachelet's Puligny-Montrachet Sous Le Puits 1er Cru is crafted from a highly regarded vineyard, known for expressing the quintessential elegance and minerality of this prestigious appellation.
This white 布根地 wine typically offers an aromatic profile of white flowers, bright citrus notes, and crisp green apple, often complemented by subtle hints of hazelnut, almond, or a delicate toasty character from judicious oak aging. On the palate, it is known for its exquisite balance, precise acidity, and a refined, long finish that showcases both power and finesse. The 'Sous le Puits' (under the well) climat is celebrated for its unique terroir, contributing to the wine's distinctive character and complexity.
🍴 This sophisticated Chardonnay is an ideal partner for a range of gourmet dishes. It pairs beautifully with pan-seared scallops, roasted chicken with aromatic herbs, or rich fish preparations like halibut with a beurre blanc sauce. Fine cheeses such as Comté or Gruyère would also make an excellent accompaniment.
🥂 Perfect for a sophisticated dinner, a special occasion, or a focused wine club tasting exploring the nuances of Premier Cru Burgundy. Its elegance and depth make it a memorable choice for discerning palates. 【Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Sous le Puits" is a highly regarded vineyard known for its exceptional terroir】
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet et Fils is a well-regarded wine producer based in the town of Saint-Aubin in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France. It produces a range of wines, predominantly Chardonnay, from fruit in Saint-Aubin and neighboring Puligny and Chassagne-Montrachet, including a plot in the Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru site. The eponymous Jean-Claude Bachelet established the domaine name in the 1970s although the family has winemaking history dating back to the 17th Century. Jean-Claude's sons Jean-Baptiste and Benoit progressively took over the running of the domaine in the early 2000s and the cellars were rennovated in 2010.
