🏰 Discover a piece of Bordeaux history with Chateau L'Arrosee 1979, a rare and mature Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé offering 【a historical perspective on Right Bank winemaking from a charming vintage】. The 1979 vintage in Bordeaux was known for producing approachable wines that matured gracefully. Expect tertiary notes of dried fruit (prunes, figs), tobacco, cedar, and leather, intertwined with earthy undertones. The palate should be delicate, with fully resolved tannins and a lingering savory complexity, showcasing the elegance of aged Bordeaux.
🍴 This venerable Bordeaux red wine is ideal with classic pairings such as roasted lamb, beef Wellington, truffle-infused dishes, or a selection of mature, hard cheeses.
🥂 A truly special occasion wine, perfect for a significant anniversary, a historical tasting, or for those who appreciate the nuanced beauty of well-aged wines. This very old vintage requires delicate handling; the cork will likely be fragile, so an Ah-So opener or Durand is recommended. Stand the bottle upright for at least a week to allow any sediment to settle. Decant very carefully just before serving to separate the wine from sediment, or pour directly into glasses, watching for sediment. Serve at cellar temperature, around 16-18°C (60-64°F). Be aware that condition can vary greatly with wines of this age.
