Château Guillot, located in the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux's right bank, near Clinet, covers an area of approximately 4.5 hectares and sits at the highest point of the Pomerol plateau. The vineyard is planted with roughly 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. The terroir consists of a mixture of gravel and siliceous or clayey soil. Purchased by the Luquot family in 1937, Château Guillot has been operated by three generations since then. In recent years, the distribution rights have been entrusted to Christian Moueix, the king of Bordeaux's right bank.
